Shrinking Our $37 Trillion Debt Before It’s Too Late
Each taxpayer now carries more than $320K in debt
Greetings, and happy April!
This beautiful spring month brings growth, Easter renewal and time for rejuvenation and rebirth.
As America experiences a season of growth and change, I discussed on BBC News our urgent need to reduce our national debt, which is approaching $37 trillion. Our debt-to-GDP burden, not seen since WWII, is unsustainable. Each taxpayer now carries more than $320K in debt. It’s time for urgent change, the kind which DOGE seeks.
As someone who was on Medicaid, I know how vital it is. But it’s meant as a safety net for the vulnerable. Now, it funds millions of healthy adults who choose not to work, while fraud drains more than $50 billion annually. I wrote for U.S. News & World Report how slowing Medicaid spending is a commonsense reform to preserve the program.
Fentanyl, trafficked by cartels using Chinese components, is killing many more Americans each year than the terrorist attacks of 9/11. President Trump is enforcing the Alien Enemies Act to repel invasion and predatory incursions, driving illegal border crossings to historic lows. On CNN, I highlighted how under Trump, NBC News found American optimism is highest since 2004. It’s no surprise that CBS News polling found 76% of Americans approved of Trump’s recent joint address to Congress, including many independents and Democrats.
For Daily Caller, I wrote about how congressional Republicans reached their highest approval level, while Democrats hit historic lows. Republicans are on a winning streak, but some are still holding back, especially in the U.S. Senate. House Majority Whip, Rep. Tom Emmer is right: it’s time for unity, bold leadership, and real policy results, including tax reform that will keep taxes from rising. No more excuses or delays.
Thank you, Sunshine State! It was lovely connecting with high school students, business leaders, and library patrons during the latest Florida stop of our Motorhome Prophecies book tour. It was rewarding to hear inspiring stories and share ideas with students and others. To request a book event in your area, please complete this form.
Praying this April is filled with joy, rebirth and renewal for you and your loved ones.
In gratitude,
Carrie
