Happy December!
With America First Agenda candidates poised to take over the U.S. House, for The Daily Caller, I’ve got your tipsheet on how Congress can rejuvenate America’s economy by beating inflation, cutting regulation, and releasing U.S. energy. I also joined PBS’ “To The Contrary” to parse election results.
My colleagues at State Financial Officers Foundation unveiled a compelling new campaign called “Our Money, Our Values,” which pulls back the curtain on the “ESG” Environmental, Social, and Governance craze.
Last month, I enjoyed the America First Policy Institute’s gala, a beautiful evening in a room full of people who love America and want our country to flourish.
For my fashionistas, I interviewed Joy Ballard, fashion consultant and former model, who shared for Smart Women, Smart Money magazine how to look stylish without breaking the bank this holiday season.
Over Thanksgiving, I was grateful to visit the iconic Morristown National Historical Park, America’s first historical national park. This includes Jockey Hollow, site of a Continental Army encampment during the U.S. Revolutionary War.
This was during the "hard winter" from December 1779 – May 1780, the coldest winter on record for New Jersey. Learning about the destitute conditions of the cabins where these patriots suffered is awe-inspiring and humbling.
Ford Mansion, Morristown, N.J.
We also stopped by the The Ford Mansion, which housed George Washington, his wife and his aides for those six months. It was inspiring to walk in their footsteps, the song “America The Beautiful” ringing in my ears:
Oh beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife
Who more than self, their country loved
And mercy more than life
This holiday season, I pray we’ll all be inspired to love and serve our fellow countrymen, no matter their political or any other tribe.
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy New Year!
God bless, and see you in 2023!
