Greetings, and hope you’re having a relaxing start to June.
I’m standing with 79% of likely voters —including 78% of women—who say it’s time to extend President Trump’s tax cuts and prevent a major tax hike. Our recent Independent Women’s Forum polling shows these reforms sparked wage growth, record-low poverty, and small business expansion. If Congress fails to act, the average taxpayer faces a 22% tax hike. Families, small businesses, and farms across the country can’t afford the punishment of higher taxes. President Trump is right: the Senate must pass the ‘Big Beautiful Bill.’
As I revealed in my Washington Examiner article, new polling shows 80% of young voters (and 82% of voters overall) oppose government-mandated 9-5 jobs. The PRO Act—modeled after California’s disastrous AB5—threatens the independent contracting flexibility that young Americans rely on for school, caregiving and side hustles. Having largely worked remotely since 2014, I know this freedom is invaluable. Independent contracting is vital to U.S. economic innovation.
For The Daily Signal, I wrote how taxpayer dollars have long fueled radical propaganda at NPR and PBS—media outlets that repeatedly smear conservatives while hiding behind a veneer of “public service.” I noted how these outlets mock the Declaration of Independence, marginalize pro-life Americans and stir racial division. This is leftist activism on the taxpayer’s dime. Cutting their federal funding, as President Trump has done, isn’t censorship—it’s long-overdue accountability.
I spoke with the Washington Examiner about our Independent Women radio ad campaign series explaining how Virginia governor candidate Abigail Spanberger falsely promotes herself as a moderate. Among other flawed decisions, in Congress, Spanberger voted to put men in women’s sports, weaken border protection and supported extreme energy policies that raised inflation on families. As I wrote for Daily Signal, my fellow Virginians deserve much better.
As part of Mental Health Awareness Month, the Motorhome Prophecies book tour continued with our second annual Bible + Mental Health conference at the Museum of the Bible. Faith leaders and mental health specialists highlighted how science shows spiritual practices can help rebuild fractured minds. Among our featured speakers was Ben O’Dell, Senior Advisor and Acting Director at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, who brought valuable insights on the intersection of faith and mental health.
Wishing you a fruitful summer month this June.
With gratitude,
Carrie
P.S. Sveiki! Last month at the Lithuanian Embassy, Ambassador Audra Plepytė hosted me for a Motorhome Prophecies salon. We explored how forgiveness transforms chaos and anger into peace and thriving.
