Greetings, and happy May!
Unfortunately, anti-Semitism is on the rise, and that includes a rise in the anti-Israel Boycott, Divest and Sanction (BDS) movement within financial markets. I spoke about this last month at the spring national meeting in New Hampshire with the State Financial Officers Foundation (SFOF) (I wrote about this issue previously for Forbes and New York Post).
America’s young people are in mental health crisis as depression and suicides spike, and unfortunately our healthcare system is woefully inadequate to help. Fortunately, as I wrote for the New York Post, Florida is changing that. First Lady Casey DeSantis is building mental health training to grow resiliency in kids.
Conservatives can't be complacent, but they're on track for a strong 2024 election showing if they stick to the substantive issues like inflation, economy, immigration, crime, and improve candidate quality. I spoke about this on MSNBC with host Ari Melber:
The U.S. Supreme Court put on hold a lower judge's ruling halting FDA approval of the abortion pill mifepristone. Among women who undergo chemical abortions, induced by these types of pills, an astonishing 1 in 5 women suffer adverse effects--a shocking 4X the number vs. adverse effects from surgical abortions.
National Library of Medicine-published research shows abortion takes an unborn human life: "Biologists from 1,058 academic institutions around the world assessed survey items on when a human's life begins and, overall, 96% (5337 out of 5577) affirmed the fertilization view."
I joined MSNBC’s Joy Reid to discuss this topic:
I’m scheduled to join New York Cardinal Timothy Dolan to discuss my New York Post column on new research showing Generation Z returning to faith in God and a Higher Power. I find this trend encouraging, as Harvard and NBER research shows it could yield better mental health if young people also join faith community.
Wishing blessings to you and yours this beautiful spring season.
