Beliefnet Features 'Motorhome Prophecies'
Christian News Site Highlights Lessons on Forgiveness
Greetings, and Merry Christmas!
I’m excited to share my recent in-depth interview with Beliefnet, a Christian news Web site, about my memoir Motorhome Prophecies: A Journey of Healing and Forgiveness. In this candid conversation, we discussed my journey from a restrictive, abusive, cult-like upbringing to embracing a liberating, healing, Christian faith.
I discussed mankind’s common struggles with modern-day idolatry and how spiritual renewal helped me realign my life’s purpose:
“Our idols today may not be golden calves, but they can be just as consuming—career success, fame, or material possessions. True freedom comes when we surrender to God’s plans.”
The interview also highlights powerful stories of forgiveness, including Rev. Anthony Thompson’s response after the tragic church shooting in Charleston, S.C., and my advocacy work helping Afghan refugees escape Taliban persecution.
This season of renewal reminds us of God’s power to transform lives. As Jeremiah 29:11 says:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Praying for the courage for each of us to persevere through life’s challenges and trust in God’s redemptive power.
In Gratitude,
Carrie
